Mohamed A Ramady, PhD.

 

 

 

 

 

   Dr. Ramady obtained his Ph.D in Economics, at the University of Leicester, UK 1977, a Postgraduate Masters Degree in Economic Development, University of Glasgow, UK 1974, and his  BA Economics (Hons) , University of Leicester UK, 1973. He is a  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK and  a  Council  Member  of BRISMES- British Middle East Studies Association, UK. 

  Currently he is a Visiting Associate Professor, Finance and Economics, KFUPM, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He specialises on regional and Saudi Economy,  as well as Money and Banking, Islamic Finance, Globalisation and WTO.  He has authored many articles on Saudi Arabia.

 

Dr. Mohamed A. Ramady

   Dr. Ramady has over 25 years of non – academic senior level professional   experience in the field of international banking, finance and investment with Saudi American Bank, where he served as Assistant General Manager in Saudi Arabia, as well as Vice President with Citibank, Chase Manhattan, First City Texas, Qatar International Islamic Bank and Qatar National Bank.  He has also advised   multinational, regional and   private sector conglomerates in the field of mergers and acquisitions, IPO’s, and financial restructuring.

  Dr. Ramady was Project Manager for  a  client funded project to establish Saudi Arabia’s first private sector WTO Centre for the Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
